DAte or Hooker?

"Traditionally, I'd say the fourth date where you are rewarded with sober sex and a $200 credit card balance from treating that special someone to four three course meals at low-scale, nationally chained restaurants. (Outback: No Rules, Just right? Does that mean I don't have to pay?) For that kind of money, you're better off investing in a hooker and the Domino's 5-5-5 deal, each coming with its own special topping. And both are promised to be delivered in 30 minutes or less. Dating? No thanks. I've got low self-esteem, a bottle of vodka, and a phone book. I’m ready for marriage."

  1. Dear Lacey (?)
Your writings cause me to want to run from you. However, while praying about you, Jesus filled my heart with love for you.

Your professionals seem confused over what illness you have - bipolar, schizophrenia or DID (dissociative identity disorder)??? And confusion over who you are stands out, since you say the voices are all parts of you. If so, DID is probably your greatest problem, even though we can have others too.

Seeing your identity as a beloved child of God -which you are - first and foremost, can be the beginning of re-integrating the parts of your psyche or personality that are "separated", so to speak (probably due to trauma in your life). I just read a wonderful account by someone with this problem on a website you may want to visit :

Hope this will help and that your ECT is giving you relief.

  2. Annie,

I know you feel burden to preach to the world, and such a burden to bear, but really, you need to go elsewhere to fulfill your duty.
