In War of Egos

Part of the posting, complete with misspellings, went to the heart of the hackers’ paradox: “If your anonymous no one can find you. No one can hurt you, so your invincible,” it said. “The problem with this idealogy, is it’s on the internet. The internet by definition is not anonymous. Computers have to have attribution. If you trace something back far enough you can find its origins.”

This is the smartest thing I've ever read from a hacker. And somehow, it gives me hope.

Part of the idea of justice relies on the idea of memory. And memory can only exist if there is record. And there cannot be any record if there is no trace. No absolute definitive proof. In a way, humans are the worst proof. WE are the worst witnesses. We shouldn't even be allowed to go to court. But we designed computers, and today, I'm very worried about what happened to them. Not that they got away from us--because they never did. This is not a self-aware computer, but the fact that we are ignorant of our creation. Like how God was when He created Adam and Eve. He didn't know about the Apple. And the Tree.

Perhaps that's man and his computer. The Big EE. God threw away JuSTICE. For Free Will. We threw away justice for the BIG EE.

And then one hacker says, you can find Jack. d.
